There’s no short list of to-dos if you find yourself pregnant in unplanned circumstances. You may be wondering: What makes our program different?

Our program exists to serve our clients with a combination of practical services and 1-on-1 relationships in a compassionate, pressure-free environment.

Filling the Gap of Pregnancy Support 

Our unique program is here to fill the gap for those who are pregnant who may feel they have nowhere else to turn during an unexpected pregnancy.

Unconditional Support

You will be matched with a caring volunteer mentor who commits to meeting regularly as long as you need support. You determine the frequency you’re comfortable with, with no pressure from your mentor. 

Relationships look like true friendship—meeting for coffee, going for walks, or attending appointments or going to a community resource together so you have the support you deserve.  The relationship can continue after pregnancy if you want!

Tangible Gifts and Resources

A Friend for You maintains relationships in real ways, like sending cards on the holidays and providing meals you pick out after pregnancy! Fun, surprise gifts are mailed during your pregnancy for encouragement.  Everyone loves a surprise card or package in the mail, right?

Beyond the relationship, your mentor can help connect you with essential services like prenatal care, housing assistance, etc. 

How Do I Qualify for this Program?

There are only two requirements.  If you’re pregnant and are willing to meet regularly with your mentor, then you can join. 

We will identify your immediate needs and provide resources or referrals to address those.

Then we’ll explain the program more in-depth and answer any questions you have. We want to listen to you to hear your concerns or needs.  If you want to join, we will then connect you with someone within 24 hours.  

We will email you information about your mentor, a picture, and a gift to welcome you to the program even before your first meeting!
