Favorite coffee drink?
My favorite coffee drink is an authentic Italian cappuccino, preferably enjoyed while watching a Tuscan sunrise. Sadly, in my daily life I don’t wake up in Italy so I take my coffee very simple… a nice dark roast with a little stevia and good quality cream.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
The best piece of advice I’ve been given is to prioritize sleep. Sunshine, exercise, good food, and plenty of quality time with the people I love helps me sleep peacefully at night. I can tend to be a go, go, go kind of person so I need to intentionally remind myself to slow down and enjoy the basic blessings of life. Sleep isn’t just important for our babies, it’s important in every stage of life!
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be and why?
If I could be an expert at anything I would be a master cellist. I love music and I think the cello is the most beautiful instrument there is. As a kid I played flute and sang a lot, music came pretty naturally to me. I took cello lessons for three years as an adult but unfortunately it was much harder to learn when I was older.
A Little Bit about Myself:
I am a proud mother of seven (yes seven!) amazing humans. My husband and I raised our family in Fort Collins, and we love northern Colorado. Along the way we have made many dear friends in the community. On any given Saturday you will probably find us at home enjoying coffee time with our family, visiting and catching up. We also like to cheer on our favorite team, the Denver Nuggets. Some of the things I enjoy doing are hiking, camping, cooking, traveling, knitting, gardening and most of all spending time with my sweet grandson.
Why are you passionate about a Friend for You?
I am passionate about A Friend for You because I’m passionate about motherhood! I remember those days of being outnumbered by babies and toddlers and although I wouldn’t trade a moment of it, some days I just felt overwhelmed. Having a good friend to call or another mom to talk to while our kids played or even an older woman I could ask for advice from was like lifeline to me. Being able to be an encouragement to other young moms is a blessing to me. I’ve also enjoyed getting to know amazing women I never would have met without A Friend for You! Women who support and encourage other women are my kind of people!
