Q. How did you hear about A Friend for You?
A. The pregnancy center in Loveland told me about it! It honestly took me a little while, and a lot of courage to finally call, but I’m glad I did!
Q. What about A Friend for You sounded interesting that you wanted to join?
A. Accepting the fact I was going to be a single mom was hard, and then when a lot of friends walked away from me, I was starting to get really depressed having no one to talk to, so I thought it would be a good idea for me to have someone that was going to truly be in my corner.
Q. Who was your Volunteer Friend, and how did your relationship with your friend develop?
A. Morgan!! It developed really well! It was natural, and I absolutely loved Morgan’s sassy personality, and her listening ear was just what I needed. Plus, she has incredible advice and ideas.

Q. Did Morgan connect you with any other resources/opportunities in the community?
A. Yes! She helped me get in touch with WIC for their assistance.
Q. What kinds of things have you and Morgan done together and how often do you meet?
A. We’ve gone on walks and gotten coffee! We would meet every couple weeks, or now it’s about once a month since I’m working so much.
Q. What would you like to share about Morgan?
A. Morgan is an absolutely gem. She is so sweet, caring, has wonderful advice, super easy to talk to, and she has always made me feel comfortable and that I truly have a friend in her. Her support is a complete blessing.
Q. This has been an interesting time being pregnant during COVID. How has having Morgan in your life helped you during this challenging time?
A. She helped make it not such a lonely time. She made me feel more comfortable in my own skin.
Q. Would you recommend A Friend for You to another woman, and if so, what would you tell her?
A. YES!! That it’s an incredible program, and I am SO thankful for the people behind it.
Q. Is there anything else you would like to share? (this can be about A Friend for You or Morgan)
A. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for bringing Morgan into my life. Thank you for being my breath of fresh air, my hope in the dark… I can’t even begin to describe how thankful I am to have found this program and been introduced to Morgan!
Q. How long have you been involved with A Friend for You?
A. I’ve been involved for three years
Q. What about the A Friend for You drew you to get involved?
A. The mission of the organization and the heart they have for moms.
Q. How many women have you “friended?”
A. Two
[Being a Volunteer Friend is] meeting people where they are and loving them well. I believe in showing up and loving well, and A Friend for You provides this and more.”

Q. What things have you and Madison done together?
A. We generally meet up for coffee and/or a walk.
Q. What would you like to share about Madison?
A. Madison is an incredible person. She is wise beyond her years and she is going to go far in life. I admire her dedication as a mother and her desire to make the most of her life. I couldn’t be more proud of her and how she is navigating life.
Q. What kind of growth have you seen in Madison?
A. Madison is growing as a mom and learning how to juggle all the things! She is very teachable and wants to be a devoted mom (which she is). She is also growing as a leader and business owner.
Q. Do you still keep in touch with Madison?
A. Yes! I’m thankful to call her a friend.
Q. What do you enjoy about being a Volunteer Friend?
A. The ability to connect and form relationships
